He’s changed!

We met our grandson this evening for the first time for me since his first birthday last October and since a year last March for Susan. Twenty months old now. Always smiling and of course, such a change. He’s tired here at the end of the day so was being occupied by a few videos.

This morning we received a text from the Airbnb agent to say that the apartment is all ready for us to access, (even though we should have been in yesterday) with a new keysafe code and that they were sorry for any inconvenience caused! When we arrived the keysafe had an emergency number on it which we hadn’t noticed last night. We wondered why we hadn’t noticed it. Inspection of the video I took last night showed no number on the keysafe. It had been put there this morning!

The agent has not replied to any of my texts today about not being able to access the property last night nor about any of the other issues we’ve discovered; broken sofa, no kettle and many other shortcomings. Having said that, the apartment is spacious, clean and would be excellent everything else being equal.

Such a different environment from the east coast. A really busy urban environment. We went shopping for the week’s food then saw Chris before the others came over for tea.

Although feeling rather tired Susan suggested a short walk in the gathering dusk. As we went past San Marcos High School hundreds of people were coming out at the end of their graduation celebrations. Very interesting to see.
