Here’s looking at you

In the end I didn’t go to the Drs this morning as overnight breathing became much easier and less shallow so finally it looks as if there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

Just in time too as we’re travelling to the Cotswolds on Saturday for a week in a cottage with friends. It’s something we’ve done most years recently although we’re down to 6 stalwarts from a maximum of 10 a couple of years ago. Three days walking and 3 days viewing the sites is the usual agenda.

Before that though, and the reason we’re going Saturday rather than Friday is the penultimate Runrig concert at the Eventim Apollo in London. They’re finally calling time on a career of over 45 years. It’s sad but they’ll be leaving such a legacy. And they’re our band having been with us and part of us since 1997.

I say it’s the penultimate concert as we’ve also got tickets for one of the two final concerts at Stirling Castle in August. The original concert sold out in minutes so the band put on another performance the night before on Friday 17th August. Some night that will be.
