Shake a Tail Feather

Last winter l went on a short course to do some pottery.
Really enjoyed it but couldn’t continue because it clashed with other more pressing priorities.
The first thing we made was an exotic bird and when finished l pushed some real feathers up its rear end.
So that’s my Macro Blip for Abstract Thursday, thanks to Ingeborg.

Just held it up to a lamp for some backlight.
You will notice l haven’t shown my bird :-))

Up early and given a lift from Rebecca to the hospital for Mr P.
Not there long and for once Mr P let us get the bus back into Leeds as he usually insists we walk - that will tell you how heavy the rain was:-(
Went to JL for a coffee and a cheese scone as l had vouchers for Benugo.
On our way out we managed to buy some new dining chairs.
Then Mr P said he needed to think about what to get me for my upcoming birthday.
I told him l wanted a black boxy shaped jacket in heavy drill cotton with a collar, buttoned up to the neck and big pockets but had no idea where we would find one.
Honestly l couldn’t believe what happened next because right in front of us was the very jacket of my dreams!
Only a 10 or an 18 left and l’m neither of those sizes but l tried the ten on - perfect!
How often does that happen?
So it proved an expensive cheese scone:-)

I then went to ballet and Mr P went home.
After dance l met my friend Barbara for lunch, we taught together for many, many years and today when we met we never mentioned school, teaching or education- we have finally retired from even thinking about it!

Home now and then out to meet friends to go see the Carole King Songbook, no idea how this will be presented, l’ve seen the musical Beautiful about her life and music twice but this sounds something different.
Like her music so expect to enjoy it.
