Kyelsku - Lairg

Day Four (last day).

Distance: 42 miles
Weather: Sun & heavy rain showers.
Wind: medium south-easterly (in our faces)

Refreshed by our stay in the hotel and a great breakfast, the first climb out of Kylesku woke us up and reminded us that we had tired legs. A steep snaking road round Quinag with great views back to the sea as we moved inland towards Assynt.

The middle and last sections to Lairg were more like being in the lowlands and dragged a bit and it was sad to leave the mountains and sea behind.

As we came to the last section Stew's dad had driven up the hill to meet us and we managed a wee dram to celebrate.

On the final couple of miles into Lairg, it poured and we arrived tired and soaked, but in time for a huge curry and beers.
