Crossing the void

I went for a ramble around Canning Town. It's an area I don't really know. It has a reputation for being an area where boxers and gangsters come from, but I'm not passing any comment on that. Anyway, there is a massive new residential development on one of  the loops as the Lea meanders in to the Thames and I had a first time explore. It's kind of quite cool with an art gallery and an outpost of the English National Ballet. Would I want to live there? Possibly not, but its right next door to a tube station.

Out for a turkish dinner this evening. Could be yum.
