Life with The Pinks

Christmas Eve

aaah the magic of Christmas Eve. One of my most favourite days of the year, the excitement and anticipation.
I was up at silly o'clock this morning to go and do the food shopping, all done and back home by 8.30am! I popped in to see Mum as she is off to see my brother, his wife and baby B to celebrate B's first Christmas. the rest of the day was spent visiting people to drop off presents, and having people visit us. Mince pie baking, orange and cranberry muffin baking, chocolate house constructing and last minute present wrapping. But at 5pm myself and the mini pinks went to church to the crib service. Miss Pink went in her angel costume and Master Pink as a star. It was lovely, really lovely. The mini pinks were very cute with their friends, and although very tired they seemed to enjoy it. If nothing else we were able to pause for a while, and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Back at home, and tea demolished, the mini pinks put on their new pjs and hung up their stockings. Master Pink left a letter for Father Christmas and the two of them left milk, and a ginger biscuit for a snack. They didn't forget the reindeer, leaving them a carrot.
We watched the video messages that Father Christmas had sent from PNP and we tracked his progress on the internet. And with that they went to bed....full of excitement.
