Life with The Pinks

By suzypink

Christmas Day!

hooray for Christmas day.

Last night as the children slept Father Christmas brought presents, lots of presents. Mummy and Daddy also left a present for the mini pinks in their bedroom; a light box each made by a friend, decorated in their bedroom colours and with twinkling pretty lights all over. We set Master Pink's on a timer to light up when he would be waking up, and the look on his face when he came in our bedroom "Mummy, someone's put something on my wall, I think it might have been Father Christmas". I came clean, as i wanted my friend to have the credit for it. Miss Pink's reaction was "mummy, look at my beautiful lights, I love them".
Watching the mini pinks open their christmas presents was a joy. Miss Pink took her time over every parcel, playing for a little while with each one. Master Pink was like a tornado as he wooshed through his!!
Father Christmas left a note for Master Pink, explaining that his elves had been on moshi monsters and had added a years membership to it, to Master Pink's account. He seemed very pleased with that.

We went to church for family communion. We ate a rather marvellous Christmas lunch and had crackers with silly masks. We shared a one person Christmas pudding (only Master Pink and I eat it) and Miss Pink doesn't like sprouts but she does like eating those green round things that look like mini cabbages!

My eldest brother came over for the afternoon, and stayed to have some tea with us. We watched Room on the Broom and the recorded episode of the Snowman and the Snowdog. The mini pinks were pleased that he was here.

It's been a different Christmas without mum and the rest of the family, and we've missed them, but it has been a lovely day too. Happy Christmas Blippers.
