Christmas Beetle

My young cousin found a beautiful Christmas beetle (Anoplognathus pallidicollis[/i)] this morning. Named so both for their appearance around Christmas time and for their striking festive green colouring. We don't see quite as many as we used to, so it was nice to find this one on Boxing Day.
