The First Lilies

We're back to doing a little gardening. The five rows of garlic were more or less ready to harvest about a month early, so we pulled that and have it drying in boxes. Mr S turned and amended the bed and in went some bean seeds and a crookneck squash.  A little weeding, a little feeding, and where did the morning go?

In the evening we saw Sona Jobarteh, an extraordinary West African musician who places the traditional kora. What struck me was the joy of this music, the happiness radiating from the stage. So many musicians these days seem so angry and competitive--it was a truly uplifting experience to hear this group.
