Corralled By Sea

More gulps of fresh sea air today on my beach walk, it's so invigorating. I became interested in the small groupings of pebbles in hollows of rocks. I would think they have been instrumental in creating the depressions where they sit by the action of waves nudging them this way and that.

I shot these pointing the camera straight down, focusing on the pebbles, and although the rocks were closer to the camera, a sufficiently narrow aperture kept them sharp enough. I liked the contrast of the more colourful pebbles against the gray of the rock and tried to keep the proportion in favour of the surrounding neutral.
