Miss E and Mr K had a good night in Marshall. She got completely ready in there and didn't come in at all before going to school!
On Saturday Mr K discovered that my MOT had run out on Thursday. Oops!
He tried ringing round to see could he could get anyone to do it that afternoon but had no joy.
The only garage he could find open to book it into was this one on the A5 about twenty minutes from our house. He booked it in for this morning.
I had arranged to meet Mrs A for a dog walk this morning she kindly came to pick me up from the garage. I didn't bring Archie in case I had to wait a long time after she'd gone for the car to be finished.
We had a lovely walk over the fields and a disused railway line near Towcester and it was great to catch up with Mrs A.
We went to the garden centre near the garage where we often go for brackfast. The scrambled eggs were delicious as ever!
Mrs A had to dash off after breakfast to collect Mr H from nursery so I stayed in the garden centre driving tea and catching up on Blips (like Groundhog Day!!!) until the garage called to say that the car had passed and was ready to collect.
I set off on what I had breezily said was a five minute walk. It turned out to be a hot fifty mile trek along the busy, noisy A5.
Actually only a mile but it felt further!!
I picked up the car and came home to take Archie out and hear Mr K's exciting news that he's going down to London on Friday for an interview for the Dublin job.
