A FOUNDLING

Up in Orkney cousin Mouse presented me with this little plate which was decorated by my mother back in 1959. She found it going through family stuff...

My mother signs herself as Mary F. Daw (extra) - the wily old bird changed her name by deed poll in order to appear married to Dickie Daw, my wicked stepfather... They actually married in 1980, but I knew nothing of all this until after her death in 1998!
