Homeward bound...

A day of domestic stuff and accounts for me, while MrM spent most of it in the workshop and then fitted the architrave round the door frame in the living room.

Then a well-earned evening off - at a Brooks Williams concert in Etal. He's a singer-songwriter and brilliant guitarist - blues and folk it its best! Good to catch up with friends too.

We drove home along some very minor roads, slowly to avoid all sorts of wildlife - frogs, bats (hundreds of them), rabbits, hares, a deer, a hedgehog, and several cats. Still light in the sky at 11.00pm when I took this shot of flood water from the River Till near Millfield. The cow parsley in the foreground is lit by the car headlights.
