A splash of colour on a very dull morning

My poppies continue to burst through the hairy casings and open up their tightly packed petals into the most flamboyant flowers.  They bloom for such a relatively short time that I enjoy them while I can.

A day of ominous dark clouds, very heavy rain and the occasional glimpse of a blue sky and some sunshine.

I met some ex-colleagues for lunch ..... great to enjoy good food, lively chat and much laughter.
