War Memorial

This War Memorial in Towneley Park, Burnley always impresses me.
First unveiled in 1926, the memorial incorporates three male figures who are  designed to represent the navy, army and air force.

In addition the cenotaph features two female figures.  I find the one on the left-hand side is particularly poignant. She is next to a rosemary bush, symbolising remembrance, with a cricket bat and ball for her son who will never use them.
