Opening night.

We went to the opening night of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin at the King’s Theatre in Edinburgh this evening. The play was adapted for stage by Rona Munro; we heard an interview with her this afternoon on the radio. It was close to a full house, a long show, and well done. So much talent on display; I particularly enjoyed the second half. I’m comfortable with this venue now, we’ve been lots of times in the last 18 months and always book seats in two particular locations. The city was quiet for walking around, and it was nice to drive home from the theatre in Scottish twilight, it’s almost the longest day.
