Andredswald

Mrs L favours walking the spaniel on the Ashdown Forest - originally the Andredswald - where poorly drained thin silty soil over sandstone has always kept cultivation at bay. Having been up there again today in squally rain I'm warming to its rugged bleakness. The spaniel and I might make this one of our regular walks.
