And shall we go no more a sailing?

I can’t really make up my mind if this is a derelict or simply in poor condition but still working. Anyway, we encountered it on our ride from Islay to Skye, at Sheil Bridge. It marries up with the derelicts we shot on last year’s tour, on a trip to hot the tarmac melted...

The weather has been mostly kind. Rain at the start, and in the first part of the mainland run, it later it cleared and the sun came out. It’s hard to do photography when you’re on bikes and have to unpack and repack for every shot, but we got a couple here and there.

The Skye accommodation is nice, nearly new, and is as far up the northern point of Skye as it’s really possible to be. The short midsummer night will perhaps be dark enough for star shots if the sky is clear but hey, it’s just started raining again!

No risk of sticky tarmac on the tyres this year.
