Hanging Participles

I love Sebastian Faulks.
His books have taught me so much and encouraged me to read further on many topics, from WW1 to early psychiatry.
He writes beautifully, which encourages me to improve my own grammar and syntax.
I never thought that I would actually benefit from a direct grammar lesson though.
So, thanks to this book, I now I know what hanging/dangling participles are, and I am paranoid about inadvertently using them.
Where would we be without books?
