Life through the lens...

By ValC

Lots of memories.

Well the decorator has finished, ( very pleased with the result) and we have put the wardrobe back in, and also the bookcase.
It has taken much longer to put the books back in, than to take them out.
Mainly because I kept looking through most of them. So many memories of when I bought them.
Especially this one.
I remember back in 1994, going along to Waterstones in Leeds where Jancis Robinson was doing a wine tasting to promote her new book, The Oxford Companion to Wine.
We tasted about three wines, and she told us a little bit about each one.
I do remember her saying her favourite white wine was a Riesling from Alsace.
The whole evening was free, and there were only about 40 people there
However we bought the book, and she kindly signed it for me.
A wonderful evening and great memory.
( extra shot of the top shelf of the bookcase.)
Have now a pile of books to take to the charity shop. Not a very big pile I may add!

Just have to buy a new bed and bedding, and sort out the pictures for the wall.

Another lovely day. They say this weather is going to last for the weekend.
Let’s hope so.
