A fishy tail

Today we went for a boat trip on Hickling Broad.  There were lots of swallowtail butterflies around which was great to see.  We enjoyed going through innaccessible places and stopping at three hides on the way around.

There was a great variety of bird life including several sightings of Marsh Harriers, one was carrying a fish in it's tallons.  My blip is of a Lesser Black Backed Gull eating a fish on a post in the middle of the broad.

Later we went for a walk to Stubb Mill where we saw another Marsh Harrier and a pair of Egyptian Geese.

A very enjoyable day!
