Beauty and the Beast.

These are the fields just outside our village, drawing some attention as carpets of flowers do. Sadly I think the dreaded HS2 rail line will be cutting through this field. I've added an 'arty' version as the extra.

Some days I'm really stuck for a blip - not today. I had quite a choice, a beautiful view of the reservoir from this mornings walk, a groomed Ronnie who goes home tomorrow and these Poppies. 

A friend called round this morning with Jeff's belated birthday present ( We were away for his birthday). It was lovely to catch up. We are all retired now but struggle to find time to get together, yet when the children were growing up we would spend most days together while the children played - I've always said our kids were almost 'feral' in their upbringing compared to children these days! But then I suppose our generation were even more so, we'd go out on our bikes in the morning and play all day, just coming home for our tea.

Had a lovely agility training session, the weather was perfect, and there were only 3 of us instead of 5 which means 1. We run more, or 2. We chat more. Today we did the latter!

Quick call into Tesco as our cupboards were bare, then headed to the Poppy field.
