Mea Culpa.

... Latin for 'I'm to blame'. A good name for a cat, even if it's usually just shortened to 'Mea'. She's a princess, this cat. A lilac-point ragdoll with a talent for distainful looks. If only she weren't so beautiful, she wouldn't get away with half of her acts of mischief.

Dad and I drove to visit Dad's sister, J, today. She was supposed to be visiting us yesterday but the flooding stopped her. We had a lovely spicy lentil soup for lunch and exchanged presents, then Dad drove us back past Gamrie (Gardenstown, to non-locals) to take some photos of the harbour. Unfortunately we left it a little late and the light was flat, so a cat-shot it is today.

Mum is still really unwell, such a shame. Tonight M is cooking and we're planning a gammon with spicy red cabbage and roasted vegetables. A night in front of the TV with a bit of David Attenborough might just cure her.
