Took a boat tour around the canals at Surfers Paradise today. Apparently it has more canals than Venice - and is a lot less smelly. However unlike Venice the canals are infested with bull sharks and at present they're trying to track a 5 metre chap that's been seen terrifying the tourists.
Nonetheless the waterfront is lined with very expensive homes of the rich and famous. Here we see a house with its own (surprisingly small!) helipad. Apparently we can see that they're at home as this is their preferred - and indeed only - method of transport.
