Catch of the Day

I went into Sheringham to do some shopping and took the opportunity to go and see the work being done to fix the sink hole that opened up a few weeks ago. Officially the reason hasn't been announced as an official report is awaited, but most suspect it's caused by the collapse of a sewer. The hole is 8 metres deep and is thankfully in the road rather than affecting any buildings. About 50m of the road at the seafront end is blocked off for the work which involves a big digger, lots of workmen and pipes to pump out the ?water?  Sheringham has not had a great year with the sinkhole and the station being closed for the replacement of the platform, work which overran. I do hope trade has not been too badly affected. None of this is affecting the local fisherman as in my photo though, I thought you'd prefer this to a shot of a digger and metal barriers!
