Life-rings.

M and I went for a boxing day walk on the beach today... What a mess! After the huge waves recently, all sorts of stuff had washed up along the sand, and the birds were having a field day! There was a lot for them to eat. Clumps of straw, thick with plastic bags, bottles and crates littered the walkways, a shopping trolley was half-sunk in the sand and hundreds of smashed shellfish were crushed into the groynes. The life-rings I've Blipped here should have been attached to the railings and spaced along the boulevard, but they had all been ripped away along with many of the railings and some large chunks of concrete.

When we got home, Mum was feeling really rubbish with what she suspected was a chest infection, so we went along to the hospital and got her some antibiotics. She hasn't been this ill in years, I feel so sorry for her. I do hope she gets better soon.

M's Mum and Dad had invited us for a lovely dinner and she managed OK through that, but went back to our house early. M and I stayed a little later and watched Miranda (hilarious) before heading back for a few games of table tennis (I'm getting a LOT better now)!

M is working tomorrow so an early night for us.
