Quotations that everyone needs to subscribe to

An early run in the cool of the morning was followed by mowing the meadow that our lawn became while we were away.

Then came breakfast, which I was ready for by then and a walk to the local garden centre to use this month’s free voucher for coffee. We walked a new part of the Vinters Valley Nature Reserve on the way to the garden centre where a meadow area was being created.

These quotations struck a chord and so formed today’s blip. We’re increasingly feeling that, as with many other issues, the population is polarised between those who care about the planet and those who couldn’t care less. And I’m not sure what the proportions of each is. Sometimes it seems a lonely furrow we’re ploughing with not much help from politicians the world over.

We were going to the allotment this afternoon but gentle rain stopped all that as I was hoping to cut the equally long grass there. Our neighbour came over to explain what they were doing in their garden and path and how it might affect our old fence. We were planning to replace our life expired fence this year so this has given up the impetuous to get it done.

As we’d missed a couple of Rock Choir sessions while we were away we went to the Monday evening and had a thoroughly good sing.
