Indoor Blip: Box Tree Moth Iridescence

More spectral "whites" in large.
Extra: Dangerous perch

I got the angle right here... These moths usually look white and brown (see extra) or brown and brown (in their melanic form), but their scales are iridescent, so it all depends on lighting angle.

The bathroom is a pretty effective moth trap if the window's even slightly open at night, and a spider has constructed a formidably effective web in the window catching those moths that get in and struggle back towards the light in the morning... This box-tree moth was struggling to escape, and briefly got stuck in the web, and while it has now struggled free from the spider's web, it is still yet to escape the larger trap.

Other angles are on this page (or right from Cornered)
