Next Stop, England

For all our efforts to leave early, it never seems to work, think I have some sort of psychological block about packing, can't make myself do it till I'm forced to. Good job, then, that we live far enough from the airport that it's sensible to spend the night here, means we're just rushing for some time to relax, rather than for a flight. I do find the swap from rural Portugal and our life here, to suburban England and all that entails, quite discombobulating...

Anyway, made it in time for a walk on Faro beach, quite a shock to see it crowded with people, quietening down now it's getting dark. Just went out on the bridge to get this shot - and loads of others, love how the light keeps making magic.

Gratefuls:
- that we got away in the end, and got everything done that we needed to, to leave the Land
- the sea, the waves, the light, the sound of the waves, all of it
- this little Portuguese hotel where we are treated like friends
