Cherry Pie

The cherries hanging into the garden are plumping up and ripening, and Zion keeps asking for cherry pie. Decided to follow Cohen's advice and "forget my perfect offering" - bought ready made pastry and cherry pie filling, and made one, "quick as a cat can wink its eye", for dessert tonight. With good vanilla ice-cream.

Looking after the kids while Deb and Sam manned our church's Foodbank. Heck, it was hot! Mike made a paddling pool from a tarpaulin draped over bricks, it helped.

Looks like we're definitely (as much as anything is) sailing. We were on the last ferry out of Spain, and we'll be on the first one back - it leaves half an hour into the first day they are allowed - the 29th, at 00:30.

Gratefuls:
this song from my American childhood; have enjoyed singing it to the kids
- getting some painting done that I've been wanting to do for ages
- our church's first Zoom meeting, with over 200 participants, to elect a new elder - fun to see faces of folk we've not seen in all this time back
