Plant Hunting

Ruth having bought tickets for her and Jacinta to watch the tennis at Edgebaston, I had a few hours free once my taxi services were concluded. Nearby Winterbourne House and Garden had been recommended to me and proved an excellent way to spend the day!  Alpines, cacti, hothouse and so much more across eleven acres.   The main picture is a Bromeliad  of the kind that you feel should be home to a little green frog.  Sempervivum and cacti were also very photogenic - extra pics.

I can thoroughly recommend a visit.  There's plenty of colourful flowers to see apart from the curiosities I have pictured.   Oh, and there's a decent cafe if you fancy a little something on the terrace!
