Hard to tell/see?

By their scapes shall ye know them.
In pretty much the same way as I, relatively recently, discovered there's more to Snowdrops than "Single" & "Double"; there's more to Garlic than garlic. Not only are there hard necked and soft necked, there are also these quaint things (Elephant garlics) I christened "Garleeks" on account of, apparently, being as closely related to Leeks as they are to Garlics. (See 23rd of this month). Latest discovery - those at the back are  known to be Elephant, those to the front ordinary Garlic, yet to remember/check if soft or hard necked.
Elephant Scapes standing to attention.
"Ordinary" curling over as I expected them to.
