Red lorry, yellow lorry

Viaduc de Millau. designed by British architect Sir Norman Foster and French Engineer Michel Virlogeux.
We are both very much in awe of this magnificent structure spanning the valley and keeping the traffic out of the town of Millau.
It is a stunningly beautiful design. It's the tallest bridge in the world, 336.4 M high and 2 .4 k long.
It was a reasonable 23 C when we got there  about 10 .00 am and about 28 C when we had taken photos looked at the exhibition and had a coffee.
We watched the temperature steadily climb and it touched 40c around Clermont Ferrand . We're now in a small village called  Salbris , at a delightful campsite with a cooling pool. Bliss.
Calais tomorrow which is considerably cooler.

Extra is a view of the bridge through a sculpture they have there  made to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Viaduct.
