I found a single card
on the sidewalk today.
The Ace of Hearts.

I took it as a sign to
not fret about my love life.

Love exists all around me
in the form of friendships.

I do not need another
person to validate how
I feel about myself.

I am best suited for
a partner that will
compliment my existence
while we work together
to reassure the human race
of the divinity that lies
within the core of every being.

Even though my relationship status
is currently marked as single,
I do not walk alone for I have the strength
of my circle of friends and the Universe
to back me up with every path I choose to take
as I count the headlights on the highway.
