(Not) The Hobbit

Parkrun this morning followed by a belated trip to see The Hobbit with Rich in Birmingham.
Unfortunately it rained for the Parkrun, rained during the wait for the bus, rained on the way up Broad Street to the cinema, and then rained a lot for the walk back down Broad Street. We were a little damp by the time we got to Café Blend to meet Stoif, Mo, and Stacebob -hence Rich not looking too thrilled here.

The Hobbit? It's too long. There're definitely bits lots that could have been cut out to make it a really good film. I didn't really need three quarters of an hour to work out that hobbits like food and that Bilbo's not happy about having Dwarves for dinner guests. Saying that, we did both enjoy it. Only another two thirds to go...
