Waiting for Tony

Our End to Enders were joined by 2 more friends today but just for today. The ride was from Glastonbury to Monmouth. As back up team we had to be there ahead of them and park ‘ near’ Waitrose which I did.

Unfortunately when I drove into the car park there was no height restriction. Sadly when I drove out there was as you will see from the pic! Fortunately the Sunday market traders who had the height bar lifted to allow access for their vans had the telephone number for the man who had the key to the height bar and gave it to us, we used it, and Tony turned up half an hour later and allowed us to move our scraped but not broken van.

Nobody got uptight. Tony was responsive and we enjoyed being told by passer’s by how to resolve our situation. Mainly let the tyres down. Sadly no one had a pump to blow them back up again. Directing the traffic was actually fun....

Have you ever started to tell a story and then wondered why and only completed it because of your one finger investment?

Well , I know just how you must have felt!
