Trying out the tent!

Mary, Terry's sister, has been here for the past few days on her way to Newfoundland tomorrow by ferry.   It's been lovely having her here with her sweet little dog, Windey.....and this afternoon, after discovering that her tent really wasn't going to work very well, Terry got out his and they explored and erected it to make sure it all worked.   Just as they got it up, the heavens opened and it rained .... so we all grabbed pieces and took them inside so they wouldn't get too wet.

In other news i have been working away in the studio, making teapots, bowls, latte cups etc., and dealing with customers!   Had a wonderful couple come up yesterday, and after much discussion they placed a very large order, 12 place settings plus more serving dishes etc.   it's a pretty big order but the most exciting thing is it is for the great grandson of Alexander Graham Bell!!!!    They were lovely people and very agreeable to what i had to offer.  We chatted about AGB being from my old home town of Edinburgh and Aleck told me he'd been there a few times, and loved it!!!   There are quite a few of the Bell descendants here on Cape Breton Island cos he made Baddeck his home for most of the later part of his and Mable's lives!!!   So pretty cool!
