Up early, and got two loads of washing done and put in the garden before heading to Tate Britain. I saw the Vincent Van Gogh again, although it was quite crowded, so then I went to the Frank Bowling exhibition which was fairly comprehensive of his work, (apart from some big canvasses that were apparently cut up to be re used! ).
This portrait, of the Duchess of Argyle, is one I am drawn to say hello to whenever I visit.
I caught the tube across London to meet Keith and Naomi. Naomi cooked crepes with lots of fresh fruit and yoghurt,. I shared my liking of this portrait and how the Duchess lived such a life,Naomi, being American did not know this this lady, who was privileged but at times dragged through the press .
