Pink and Blue, I Love You Too!

Dear Diary,

Not to slight my other peonies, here is a lovely pink one that looks especially nice next to a bit of blue Catmint.  Sometimes, what a flower is planted next to is as important as the flower itself.  I stopped at a nursery yesterday to buy a Korean Lilac to plant next to the Meditation garden.  It will grow to 8 feet and provide a bit of shade to the seating area.  It blooms later than the French Lilacs I have and is a smaller, more delicate flower.  I also got a fall blooming Aster to add to the patio garden.  It is a purple/pink shade and will bloom next to the yellow Heliopsis.  That should make a nice combination.  Flowers are like people, they are enhanced by the company they keep!
