An Avid Lensman

Ferry into Yarmouth, IOW, from Lymington

Third backdated entry - took so many this day that I went to Brockenhurst and Lymington and still hardly edited any, then this image could well change.

From the southern protected mud-flats beyond Lymington Marina (got plenty of polarised ultra-wide shots there, too) I used the 'Big Sig' (Sigma) 150-500 at its longest and here it's been cropped by about 50% too, with the requisite extra sharpening - haze takes the edge off that, rather than softness from the lens. Fantastic piece of glass, despite being the size of a flame-thrower and the weight of a Volvo.
