Mono Monday - Patriotic

I wasn't planning to take part in today's challenge due to a lack of inspiration, but while out for a walk through a field this afternoon I passed these thistles and took it as a sign! 

The humble thistle is the national emblem of Scotland, my adopted country about which I feel very patriotic. You can see far better photos of thistles here... in glorious technicolour!
