St John's Wort And Hoverfly (Monday 1st July 2019)

I did make it to Bath yesterday and have been processing the pictures I took for a large part of today. I've added Extras and links to the albums I've posted online but have a few still to upload.
Apart from taking the car in ready for its MOT tomorrow I haven't done much else. I took a few pictures in the garden including this St John's Wort which has grown here as long as I've lived here. It's very good for depression so I'm thinking of a business start-up.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Muddy Waters - Rock Me (recorded 1956, Chess Studios, Chicago IL)
Cerys Matthews played this on her Radio Two Blues Show today. It was first recorded in 1951 by Lil' Son Jackson as Rockin'And Rollin' but largely borrowed from earlier versions, notably Big Bill Broonzy (1940) and Arthur Crudup (1944). Muddy Waters claimed his own version later that year with his All Night Long. BB King did it as Rock Me Baby and after its success everyone has done it from Jefferson Airplane to Ike and Tina Turner and Dr Feelgood (the band not the pianist, although he might have done it too). Muddy Waters' version here was on the 1957 B-side of Got My Mojo Working as a 15-bar blues, based on Jackson's version but including a verse or two from All Night Long.
