I do like this date stone on an outbuilding; to me it shows a sense of pride and achievement for a useful job well done. Also quite a significant date historically, but it is unlikely the carver knew that; you just never know what is round the corner, good or bad.

A bit of an EB as I didn't take my phone along with me today.

A long coffee and chat this morning followed by boring housework and then golf this evening. Really, not a very exciting day!
