Marbled White - Melanargia galathea

It's been hot today, and my mood hasn't been helped by the news of what our precious politicians are up to...

I just can't see anything good in what's going on here and I'm sure that our friends across the sea must be wondering just how we've got ourselves into this mess.

I had a walk around the Millennium Wood this morning and spotted this Marbled White resting in the shade.
