Random Phone Box

This morning we met up with our daughter and youngest granddaughter for coffee/breakfast at J32 near Castleford. Then after a wander around the shops we headed off to Lumby Hall, near Sherburn, for lunch.

The family dining area is peculiar. There is a mix of motor memorabilia on the walls with car and motorbike photos, oil and tyre advert plaques and a fuel pump, as well as huge glass sliding doors etched with Bentley, Rolls Royce, Triumph and Norton logos. The floor has a collection of children's’ toys... see extra for a sample.

In one corner is there is this well preserved classic British phone box.

The place has the feel of a museum, but I can find no references to it ever being so. I wonder if it was a private motor collection.

Lunch was very nice and afterwards our daughter left to get home for the school run and we came home. Mrs madwill is currently asleep in front of the TV which is showing the Nadal v Kyrgios game.
