A Wildlife Wander

M and I had our weekly 'date day' today and went to Blakeney together.  We were there for hours (but there was a fair bit of sitting involved!).
We walked through the marshes, had a gorgeous lunch in the Blakeney Hotel overlooking the harbour and marshes (the Norfolk Dapple cheese souffle was excellent).  Then we wandered up Friary Hill to look at the beautiful wild flowers and butterflies, which is when we saw this pretty Small Copper. (I've included an extra of the pretty Vipers-Bugloss in extras, along with a Redshank who obligingly posed on a post for quite a while).  All best seen in large.
We finished off with an ice cream whilst sitting looking at the very well-stocked duck pond, before a quick visit to the craft exhibition in the church hall and returning home...a very full, but totally relaxing day, just taking each pleasure as it came along (my 'Appreciation' meditation module is working well, I loved it all).
