The Lozarithm Lens

Chippenham (Friday 5th July 2019)

Although I saw and photographed a swan in Marlborough yesterday, I didn't blip it, so inevitably this is a blip of one of three that I saw by the town bridge on the Avon this afternoon.
It was interesting to see the smiles on the faces of the people sitting on benches watching the swans, ducks and pigeons. Nature does give us a lot of pleasure; if only we could learn not to kill it for sport or whatever other psychopathic reasons some of us have.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Kate Bush - The Handsome Cabin Boy (1986)
This was on the B-side of Hounds Of Love, which I didn't own as I had the album, and consequently didn't know until I bought Remastered 2.
It is a traditional song, probably learned by Kate from Ewan McColl's 1957 recording. Her version has only voices, including her own fabulous vocal, and fits well with this week's LOTDs.
