Solitude

In a city where there are so many people, friends meeting and tourists bustling, this chap sat all alone outside one of the many coffee shops. We sat down close but my lens was pointed in his direction (not up to my eye). He was there for a long time gazing out at nothing in particular.

We have looked around the city of Koblenz today, a city at the confluence of the Mosel and Rhine rivers. Cruise ships dock here and there were many groups being lead around the sights.
One place we explored was the main church. Here I noticed a lady praying and then sitting quietly for a very long time - she was clearly troubled and I wondered what it was that was bothering her. I just hoped she would get the help she needed and stay safe. (Extra)

Brighter aspects to the city include interesting architecture, wonderful patterns and shadows and the river. So busy with endless large barges ploughing up and down. It's a very noisy place.

We are parked for the night in a car park by the river along with several other motorhomes. It's Friday night and the local children are running around having fun! It's now past midnight so maybe they will go home soon.
