Being Helpful

A beautiful sunny winter morning is just the right time to attack a dead tree.  It was after 9.00 a.m and no neighbours put their heads over the fence to complain.  The forester felled the tree for one of the older neighbours in our street.  His son in law is helping saw it into rounds.  It was tall but not very round so an easy job and now it will be firewood for the son in law.  There was a strop attached from the tree to our truck.  I got to drive the truck forward to ensure the tree fell the correct way.  I haven't had that job before.  Now the branches have been removed and the lawn raked and the wood to burn is stacked and ready to move.
