Surprise View

Mr P said some of his running buddies had asked him if he fancied going on a longer run this morning in North Yorkshire.
As he was going to be out until early afternoon l went to Leeds as there was something l needed to return .
Had a pleasant time, so good to be not to rushing off anywhere or feeling stressed so l went for my free coffee and cake .
I was so good l wrapped the cake up in a paper serviette and brought it home for Mr P.

I used the bus to get home and sat upstairs , there is a bend in the road where you leave the urban area and behold this wonderful view of the Wharfe Valley.
People who don’t know the route often gasp out loud when they see it for the first time.
I always know l’m not far from home when l see this.
Only had my iPad so have had to crop it quite a bit.

We arrived home within five minutes of each other by coincidence more than planned so had some lunch together.
He then told me it wasn’t a recce but a ten mile race and a tough one at that.
I have my doubts he didn’t know beforehand but he always gets nervous before a race and has certain routines he follows. None of that this morning and he didn’t eat a pre race breakfast.
He was amazed to come third overall male, he often does well in his age group but can you imagine how you would feel if you were a strapping 20 odd year old and found out a 72 year old had beaten you :-)
As l wasn’t there l’ve put an extra on of his trophy.
Honestly yesterday we were at the hospital and then he goes and does this, no wonder lm turning into a nervous wreck.

Going to see Yesterday tonight, we postponed our visit on Wednesday as the weather was too good to be indoors.
